When Seagle looks at a landscape, he sees more than just a landscape. He looks deeper, contemplating the foundation, interference and general environment of the scene. It is with this process that he creates his paintings.
Jerry Seagle is a contemporary Texas artist, trained in more traditional art. He graduated with honors from the University of Texas at Austin with a BFA in painting, and received a graduate fellowship to further his studies at the University of the Americas in Mexico City. He draws on his past in Southwestern art to create his abstract acrylic paintings.
Seagle has shown art in over one hundred individual exhibits. He has received more than 250 awards in national and regional exhibitions, and his paintings have been reproduced in several articles on experimental water media painting.
Jerry Seagle’s works are available through Austin Galleries in Austin, Texas.
