Kris and Carrie Bloom

The Blooms’ canvases can be found in numerous private and corporate collections across the country from Los Angeles to Vermont.

B/K Studio is a collaboration between two Arizona artists. As husband and wife, Kristoffer and Carrie work side by side to create large, abstract canvases. The resulting paintings are evocative of a landscape of memory and imprints from the artists’ travels to Italy, Spain and the desert Southwest. The intention of the artists is to embrace beauty and to exercise issues of form, space, color and line.

Kristoffer studied painting and photography at the California Institute of the Arts and Otis College of Art and Design. He has been in group shows in New York, California, Alabama and Arizona. His exploration of many materials in his work includes painting, photography, and computer media. Kris also works in wood and designs and builds furniture.

Carrie studied painting at the Rhode Island School of Design. She has shown her work in numerous solo and group shows in Rhode Island, New York, Alabama and Arizona. She apprenticed with artists in New York including Kiki Smith. Carrie also held an internship at Gagosian Gallery in New York.

Kris and Carrie Bloom’s works are available through Art + Artisans in Austin, Texas.
