Robinson’s personal expression evolves from the desire to explore, opening doors without knowing where they lead. Her techniques cross centuries, landscapes and cultures.
Priscilla Robinson grew up with a strong attraction to texture, materials and luminosity. Channeling these interests in her artwork, she combines shapes and units, capturing fragments of thoughts that are interrelated. The themes of wholeness and natural change appear throughout her work.
Robinson’s primary medium is handmade paper combined with cast and fused glass. Overbeaten fibers are used with natural coloration and watermarked with patterns. Other fibers are sometime embossed and submerged in vibrant color.
Priscilla Robinson’s works are available through Wally Workman Gallery in Austin, Texas.
