Welcome New Receptionist Hailey J. Bobella to GSRP!

We are excited to announce the addition of Hailey J. Bobella to our practice. Hailey joins GSRP after a five-year stint in New York City, where she served as executive assistant to the CEO of a private wealth management firm. In her role as Receptionist, Hailey assists with the firm’s general administrative duties and writes for our social media and website. In her spare time, she plays cello, guitar and several other instruments, and is active in several Austin-area bands.

Cindy Grossman to Present for the Dallas Bar Assocation

We are very excited to announce that GSRP partner Cindy Grossman will be presenting “Micro-Captives: The Insurance Company You Keep” for the Dallas Bar Association in Dallas, Texas on April 4th. Cindy’s corporate and partnership transactional and tax practice on the state, federal, and international level will inform her remarks about this controversial insurance structure that has generated considerable attention in the last few years. She will discuss the structural features, benefits, risks, and practical aspects of forming a micro-captive insurance structure for clients’ companies.

GSRP Partner Cindy Grossman Named to Rising Stars List!

For the eighth consecutive year, GSRP partner Cindy Grossman has been selected for inclusion in the Texas Super Lawyers Rising Stars list! She is the only Austin area attorney included on the organization’s 2016 list for tax law.  

Cindy has been with GSRP since 2009 and a partner since 2011. She possesses a breadth of experience in corporate and partnership formation and operation, investment fund formation, entity conversion and reorganization, business planning, business succession planning, executive compensation planning, and asset protection planning. During her tenure at GSRP, she has guided clients in negotiations with Citadel, New York Stock Exchange, Bloomberg LP, AIG, Knight, Merrill Lynch, Sungard, Barclays and Citi, among others. 

Super Lawyers is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The selection process includes independent research, peer nominations and peer evaluations. Bob Chesner Named COO

Bob Chesner assumed the role of Chief Operating Officer of GSRP effective January 1, 2016. We welcome Bob’s experience and are excited to have his business leadership and energy in our firm’s administration.  In his role, he leads and oversees all of the operational, administrative, and financial functions of GSRP.

Welcome Baby Oliver to the GSRP Family!

Please help us welcome the newest member of the GSRP family! Baby Oliver was born earlier this month, weighing in at 7 lbs, 10 oz. We’re overjoyed for his mom, our tax coordinator Laura Bredeson, and know little Oliver is destined for great things.

Maybe he’ll be a lawyer? Tax professional? Insurance expert? No matter, we are proud and thrilled to have him here!

Welcome Laura Bredeson, CPA to GSRP!

We are excited to announce the addition of Laura Bredeson, CPA, to our practice. She joins us as our Tax Compliance Coordinator with more than nine years of tax and accounting experience, including experience with a Big 4 accounting firm. Laura attended the University of Texas where she received her degree in Business Administration and her Masters in Professional Accounting. She is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Texas Society of CPAs. Laura will work with our attorneys and senior accounting professional where she will facilitate U.S. and foreign tax reporting. Laura enjoys cooking and volunteering at the Sustainable Food Center when she is away from the office.

Jessica Archer to Retire from Practice

Following a successful ten-year tenure with GSRP, Jessica Archer, who advanced from an intern to the firm’s Tax Matters Coordinator, announced that she will retire to join her husband’s investment management business. Although we will miss Jessica’s presence sorely, we will always appreciate her dedicated service to the firm and wish her the very best in her new endeavor.
