Lena’s practice focuses on trust and estate matters, including estate planning, taxation, preparation of wills and trusts, and probate and estate administration. Lena assists clients in designing and implementing simple to complex estate and gift plans, including the drafting of Wills and Trust agreements.

Lena’s practice focuses on the federal income, estate, and gift tax implications for clients utilizing complex estate planning, trust, and business strategies across multiple jurisdictions. Lena counsels high net worth individuals in the design, implementation, and maintenance of traditional and sophisticated trust and estate plans, asset protection strategies, and life insurance structures. Lena also advises personal representatives, trustees, settlors, and beneficiaries regarding the efficient and effective administration of estates and trusts, including compliance with the myriad tax and non-tax obligations and implementation of judicial and non-judicial modifications and settlements.

Prior to joining GFGR, Lena practiced as a family law attorney in Austin, where she gained experience with complex community property issues in high-net worth divorces and represented clients in custody modifications and adoptions. Lena graduated from the University of Texas School of Law, where she participated in the Children’s Rights Clinic and Domestic Violence Clinic. Prior to law school, Lena graduated from Rice University with a B.A. in Sociology and a minor in Poverty, Justice, and Human Capabilities.
